Louise Ethel Helfman Jensen, aka Mama, late 1950s

You don’t need perfect hair to write.

Here’s a photo of my mama in the late 1950s. She kept pen, blank notecards, and stamps at the ready. She made time to update her address book (a job made easier when she started writing my info in pencil). She always replied to letters. I always reply to email.
